Nissan Qashqai is a compact crossover dynamic SUV designed by Nissan ever since 2007. This small SUV is known as Nissan Dualis in Japan and Australia. The facelift version of the Nissan Qashqai has been successful in getting a fair amount of attention in the Indian market also. This car caters to those buyers who need a dynamically designed SUV without the huge size and aggressiveness of a sport utility vehicle.
The top half of Qashqai has a smooth, vibrant appearance with a distinctive shoulder line that rises at the back and is like that of the Nissan Murrano. The lower part resembles an SUV due to the huge, prominent wheel arches and a slightly higher ground clearance. Nissan Qashqai is designed based on X-Trail and uses the same platform as the X-Trail.
The interior of the new Qashqai is supposed to be more attractive than its exterior design. It will have five-doors and a stylish dashboard. The conventionally placed air-conditioner vents have a jet plane style with silver-finish rings. The centre of the dashboard has an integrated audio system and AC control. The 3-spoke steering is powered and is mounted with audio and computer controls on it. The computer screen displays the cruise control and the speed limiter settings apart from the conventional readings, thus making it easier for the driver to have a complete control over the vehicle. Bluetooth connectivity for the mobile phones and CD stereo with 4 speakers adds to entertainment features within this crossover SUV.
